Sims3 Launcher has stopped working.

So I've downloaded and followed the instruction for the game and the World Adventure Expansion.

But when I reached the second last one (updating the base game to match the Expansion) , my Sims3 Launcher showed 'Script Error' messages, and then few minutes later, when I restarted, the Sims3 Launcher won't start at all. (Sims 3 Launcher has stopped working)

*And of course, the game wouldn't work bcos the base game and the expansion aren't compatible.

What's the problem...?
