sims 3 won't let me place items on lots

I have the sims 3 games from your downloads
which is great, I got it a while ago but I ended up updating the game 
so I installed it. I've redownloaded it again because you guys got a fix for the update 
so I applied the fix like it said but now when I go into the game it tells me that the game is a pirate copy 
but I can still play it with possible outcomes, I get the option to exit or continue.After clicking continue it seems to work fine, I can make people and I can buy a house and the sims walk around and interact as they should and you get the options that you should on different items.
I went into the buy/build mode and it won't allow me to place any items on the lots. I've tried this with several different houses but I still get the same message on all the items. I cannot place this on this kind of lot.
It's driving me crazy I'm just wondering if I've done something wrong or if this is affecting anyone else
I really don't want to uninstall the game again because I've only just re-downloaded it. Thanks for your help

Hello,
Is it the unofficial game modification error? If it is, you may have accidentally updated to 1.32, while the fix is for 1.31. Admin will update the fix soon though.
I'm not sure that I've heard about the other problem you're having though, is that happening with random items or say a specific item on a specific lot type? Though it could be related to the unofficial game modification error.

It's all the items, it might be because it's updated to 1.32. my sims version is 11.0.84.014001 but other than that I don't know what it is.

That's your launcher version, have a look at your base game version instead. If it is indeed 1.32, that may be the cause of your problem, but I'm sure Admin is working on it so stay tuned.
