The Sims question Empty The Sims question

Post by Guest Sun 11 Mar 2012, 18:54

Hello, I keep finding this forum as I search for a solution to my problem, so this seemed like the best place to ask about this. I've downloaded 2 versions of The Sims, the "All in One" compilation and "Complete Collection." Both work, but on different systems. My desktop has Win7 64-bit and my netbook has Win7 32-bit. The All in One collection works on my desktop, Complete Collection on my netbook. CC on the desktop gives the Makin' Magic error and asks for the disc, and AIO does the same on the netbook. If I remove the file RangerD.iff from the GameData directory, CC tries to load on 64bit, then crashes to desktop. I'd like to just have one install that will work across the network on both PCs. I copied all of the Deluxe and Double Deluxe content to the AIO install so it doesn't matter which one, but as it is I have 2 installs taking up over 6 gigs together and can't just resume a game on the other machine. It's not uber important, but it would still be nice.

Hello,

What I recommend you to do is just installing the games on each PC, but using a syncing program to automatically sync the save games between your two PC's. Would that be an option?
