The Sims 3 - Weird Ghost wall glitch?[SOLVED]

Hello everyone! I'm new here and I would like to first off start by saying, THANK YOU TO THIS AMAZING TEAM for allowing me to get this game up and running perfectly and fully updated!! =D

Now to the matter at hand.

Since I installed Showtime and all the Store Updates, I loaded up my game and my house, and now on one side of the house I have these weird 1 sided slanted ghost walls, peaking out through the walls on the outside of the house! O.o

As you can see it's only seen from one way. When I rotate the camera is goes away. What is this and how can I get rid of it? o.O

Well... kinda if you have OCD like me and don't enjoy having annoying glitches like that. x.X

Plus for all I know it might mean other objects or things in the game might also be affected by this.

I believe it's 1.31. I didn't update to the new one due to my last experience with updating to 1.31 when the Fix only worked with 1.29. XD

So I only have the update that Showtime did upon installation and your new crack fix. So as far as I know that's 1.31. Razz

Hello,

Good news! I updated the Fix a few hours ago. It's now working fine with version 1.32: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t752-the-sims-3-ultimate-fix-should-fix-most-of-your-problems

I recommend re-downloading and re-applying the Ultimate Fix and updating your game to the latest version.
It may make a difference, you never know.

Alrighty! I'll do that now and let you know! I can't thank you enough for you and your teams outstanding fast and perfectly tested work for this game. I used to think this game was un-crackable till I stumbled upon you guys. XD

EDIT: Well this is wierd... the game says I'm up to date but my Sims 3 base game version is 1.31. ... I keep hitting refresh on the launcher and it says it's up to date.. o.O

Haha I just found your manual patch too and changed my Sku in the Registry for it to work, but now when I update I get the Invalid File error...

Thank you, once again! XD I'm going to start the game up again and see if it fixed the issue! =)

EDIT: And they're still there... x.x

OH would it be also important to note that since I installed 1.31 my game skips the EA Logo and the Sims 3 intro and goes straight to the Showtime loading screen?

Hello,

Yes, that's the "NoIntro" mod, which comes with the Framework (needed to use Mods) by default. I don't think you mind, skipping the EA logo, right?

If updating didn't work either, I think it's a bug with that specific Mod. I recommend waiting for Lady ElDi's final reply though. Sorry I couldn't solve the problem for you!

Lols I just wanted to make sure my game wasn't messed up. You helped me in the long run with many of the other steps. Thanks a BUNCH! I await Lady's reply. Smile

If it's a mod issue (Being the fact the only mods I have are the package files from your Cloud Storage and the Framework) I'll know it's a simple fix.

By the way on a different note, feel free to PM me to discuss this but have you guys ever thought of making Private Servers for Online Games?

Haha, well, we're on a torrenting community here. Not a lot of people (Read: almost no one) own a legal copy of a game.
But if you ever feel like playing a nice round of Modern Warfare 2 in a fun lobby, feel free to let me know!

Lmfao the funny thing is I'm not a fan of either of those games. XD But the reason why I ask this is because due to seeing your incredibly fast and seamlessly perfectly tested work. I think you could make one of the greatest Private Servers for MMO's out there. Aion being one of my favorite games, and seeming to be a complete mess to emulate I'm curious to know if you could actually pull it off with your team of people. Razz

I've seen this before and it bugs me as well, even though I've come far with my OCD Laughing

(I'm actually not kidding here).
I think these are remnants of the (annoying) autoroof function and you can try the sledgehammer tool on them.

I'd love to set up a server, honestly, but it's too expensive. And I don't think anyone will be interested. Everyone is too busy playing The Sims 3. Sad

Haha well I know alot of people including myself and my girlfriend who'd love to play an Aion server made by you. Because I know you could do all types of cool stuff like allowing custom content and what not. I think it'd be worth it later on seeing as the new patch is being released this spring. Smile

Glad to hear the TS problem got solved. Let us know if you have got any more ideas, maybe we'll use them one day!
And you're right about the servers, I remember when running the fun lobbies on Modern Warfare 2, people really enjoyed it, because I'd ask them what they like to have. (Slowmo, flying, super jump, XP boost etc etc) Unlike all the other selfish hosters. I had a great time though, hosting those servers, really.
