Sims 3 Pets unresponsive issue

I installed it exactly the way that the post on this site said and the .pdf instructed in the .rar file. I've installed the universal sims 3 fix and the specific Pets fix. Now that you know the status, here's the problem:

The game goes unresponsive after loading the title screen to 100%. It doesn't freeze, doesn't even falter. I just get an alert saying there's a problem and Windows can't fix it.

2. After the updating finished, re-dowload and re-apply the Ultimate Fix: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t752-the-sims-3-ultimate-fix-should-fix-most-of-your-problems
3. Start your game and let us know the result. Good luck!
