Sims 3 need CD to play?

Okay i installed the sims 3, and all 3 xpack and when i start the game all fine until it gets to the select world screen it tells me i require a cd. is there a iso i have to load up in daemon ?

also a patch didnt install it said it was going to install and the game login screen dissappered and nothing happened. it was a patch for highend.

the update i have to install is 4.0.87.006001.exe

I think i found the problem Highend never updated and Ambitions so i am updating them now.

Hello,

If it asks for CD in order to play, you forgot to apply the Crack(s). Please read the "Crack" -part in the Installation Guide carefully.

okay i ended up uninstalling the sims 3 last night.

and a weird thing just started my monitor has all these flickering green dots everywhere.... and my monitor menu looks like someone put a bunch of :; around all the words I dont know whats going on. <fixed that

I followed the guides for each part, and it says to install the cracks after each installation and thats what i did but i have seen a few posts here saying not to crack until everything is installed and updated. so does that mean i have to crack sims 3, high end , WA, Amb, after everything is installed and updated?

Also i got an error yesturday when trying to update could cracking them been the reason for that?

You can't update if you've cracked, thus why the guides specifically put cracking as the absolute LAST thing to do.

Uninstall everything and reinstall again and follow the directions 100% as they're written, or you'll come into problems.

okay so install sims 3 that i got from you guys and update from the launcher or from the "The sims 3 Update links" ?

Sorry i am totally new to all this. Also i have been running into a lot of errors so lol i'll try reinstalling again in the morning :V I can get the sims 3 working just fine, it when it comes to WA, HELS, Amb. that i start running into problems.

So this is what i should not do when I install Sims 3?

9. When the Installation is completed, open the '# Crack' file in this .rar and Copy + Paste
the 'TS3.exe' to 'Game Directory > Game > Bin' and REPLACE it by the existing one.

And WA

4. Open the 'Crack 2' folder in the '# Crack' file. Copy áll the files in that folder
to: C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin and REPLACE them by the existing ones.

HELS

5. Now open the '# Crack' folder in this .rar file and copy + paste áll the files in there to:
C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 High End Lot Stuff\Game\Bin* and REPLACE them by
them by the existing ones.

Suppose i am confused because of the different guides the ones that come with each part the of games says to crack them and there is another guild that says not to, but you said not to crack them soooo i'll have to try that.

You need to copy every crack from the Torrent folder into the installed game /bin folder.

If your base game is purchased, you need to ignore ONLY the third crack from WA. You need Cracks 1-2, and 4 of WA and all the cracks applicable to HELS and Ambitions.

How To Install :

### If you faced the Regional Update Error Do the Following .

A).Go to Run and type ( Reg Edit ).
B).Go to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Electronic Arts\sims3]
C).On the Right side you will find a kay called (SKU) Double click on it and edit the Number chose from 2 to 7.
D).You will find a registry Key for each one of the expanstion packs too change the value of SKU if you faced same Error when updateing .

** NOW Please Follow Carefully.

1).Install Sims 3 then Update ,Use The link provieded

Note Do not crack !!!!!! (To update Sims 3 you need orignal files of the game so dont crack).

2).Install Sims3 World Adventures Expanstion Pack then update.(http://widowmaker.kiev.ua/sims3updates.php)

Note: Dont crack yet !!!! .

3).Install Sims3 High End Loft Expanstion Pack then update.

5).Now After Installing all 4 and update your game Version should be :

3. High End Loft------------> Pack includes all patches
4. Ambitions ---------------> v4.2.32.007001

6).Before cracking take a backup from the orignal files then simply Copy and paste & replace exsiting files with the cracked one To game DIR

Yeah, we didn't write those instructions, thus why I tried to simplify it in the topic sticky.

The admin plans to reupload with better instructions, since Selyo didn't do too bright of a job (or at least, he didn't make it newbie-friendly).

Pretty much:

- Check that the regedit SKU files are correct.
- Copy / Paste the base game & the Ambitions crack (ignore everything else) into the correct directory

thanks i am having a problem with this

When you applied all the Updates, open The Sims 3 Launcher. You'll be prompted to Download
the EA Download Manager if you haven't already Installed it. So, if you don't have it, Install
it. When you've Installed the EA Download Manager, click on 'Refresh' on the Game Updates -tab.
A pop-up will appear, telling you that there's an Update for you Game. Click 'OK' to Download
and Install the Update.

its telling me its unable to conect to ea download manager and i have uninstalled the game about 5 times and rebooting each time I have windows 7.
might there be some lingering files preventing me from being able to install the manager?

It might be your Firewall. Try turning it off (or, if it's a picky program, you may need to completely remove it from start-up and restart your PC).

I have Windows 7 as well, but I've allowed the program to bypass my firewall.

Also, try right-clicking "Run as Admin". I didn't have to do this, but it might work if it is a firewall dilemna.

i dont have the EA download manager on my computer at all, i cant install it. I disabled the firewall and all protection for my computer and nothing. Is there anywhere i can go to download the EA Download Manager program ??

okay i am downloading the EADM found a place to get it, hopefully that fixs my problem.
