Display driver stopped responding.[SOLVED]

it throws me out of the game and this pops up:





and than I'm back in the game, and after a few minutes it throws me out again and the same thing appears.



Before this started , i couldn't load my saved game, because it said that there was a serious error. so i did this and it helped, but then this problem started.

Yes, that looks like an out-dated driver. Latest is v296.
Could you please tell me your graphic card's model and what Windows version you're using? (And also whether your PC is 32- or 64-bit)

i updated it but it's still not working

Please remove the old update and download this one: http://www.nvidia.co.uk/object/win7-winvista-32bit-296.10-whql-driver-uk.html

During the installation choose "Clean installation" and let it update.
After it finished updating, restart your PC and then test the game.

So I solved the last problem with those warnings. I did not know that my brother activated Internet Defender and when I saw that there were viruses on my computer, I ran a scan and put them in quarantine. And after that I updated the driver and when the warnings appeared after restarting, I thought that there was something wrong with the update. But then I found out about Internet Defender and removed it, and the warnings disappeard.

But the first problem is still here, it keep throwing me out of the game and sometimes the warning cloud appears, and sometimes my screen in 800x600...

Now, the driver error. From what I've read, it may be an overclocking issue.

find the answer why I'm getting this. When I bought my computer. I had
the best graphics card put in it. I wanted to make sure it could handle
the games I do on it. But instead just with a few minutes of playing
games I would get this error. So going to websites like these. I was
told stuff like update your graphics driver, change your registry,
restore your computer, reinstall your graphics driver, on and on with
different things. Nothing worked. But there was one thing I kept hearing
a lot. ( Overclocking ) and of course talking about going into your
registry to do things like that. I never messed with my overclocking
things before. But I was wondering maybe my computer is overclocking
naturally. Maybe with the software and hardware that's there In my
computer that when they communicate they overclock. So I looked into
that and found a program called ( EVGA Precision ) from what I
understand it's made to overclock your computer but it actually can turn
everything down as well and was fairly simple. What I have found with
this error is that there is many reasons. But for years all the reasons I
was hearing wasn't fixing my problem. So I write this hoping to help
someone who may have the same problem I had that maybe this program
could fix for them. So I basically just turned everything down on the
first menu screen except the fan. And I have not yet had the error
returned again. I hope this is helpful for many. It's a pain in the butt
of a problem :-) so if you want to give it a try ( EVGA Precision ) may
work for you"

Ps. I use EVGA Precision myself. A new version, called EVGA Precision X has just been released. It's pretty much the same, but looks different.
