Start Error. [SOLVED]

Hi I used to be able to get it to work then i had to reinstall windows on my computer now it says Service Failed (0x039e8474) 
what do i do? I did the game fix already but this always comes up. Idk what happened. Will reinstalling windows again fix this?

i'm running on a virtual machine anyway. so it's worth a shot. umm i have. world adventures, fast lane, ambitions, night life, town life, generations and pets

Yup. It is. I tried installing on mac too with the a crack on my cd that has to be manually installed (I didn't use this when I used the Game Fix) and I got the same error.

Ok then.
Uh, I have a CD. Didn't get it from here though. It was working already first time I used it. Along with Generations and Fast Lane Stuff. But I used the manual crack included in the CD. After that, I decided to get the other expansions from the same place I got the CD. Then while installing, I had an error for low memory. Then I changed the settings of my VM so I'd have more memory. It wouldn't work so I just compressed the VM Hard Disk then when I started it, I got the blue screen (boot blah blah) so I just reinstalled Windows XP on my VM and deleted the old one. When I installed it again, that started to show up even with just the base game or base game plus Generations and Fast Lane Stuff.

it's all good now. i reinstalled again despite that failing numerous times before. but this time i used different serials before using the fix. good now.
