Problem with saving and crashing (Sims 3).
Well, It's been about an hour since my game is saving and I think I'm forced to shut it down, again. Sometimes while saving is in progress an error pops out saying that "unexpected error has occurred while saving" and sometimes it just crashes or freezes. When it crashes error pops out: "Sims 3 has stopped working. Windows is checking for a solution" (and of course, it doesn't find the solution). So my question would be what should I do I tried this but I still have the same problem.

Hello,
What is your base game version? Do you have any Mods or Custom Content? Did you apply the Ultimate Fix?

Base game version is 1.33. In mods folder I have only NoBuildSparkles, nointro and spellbook fix. I'm not sure what exactly is custom content but I've downloaded all the store updates from your site (from June 2009 updates). And I've applied the fix.

Hello,
Ok those probably don't cause the problem.
These apply to a save error that has an error code, but it doesn't hurt to look.

Yup, I have that error code 12. Should i delete some neighborhoods which I'm not playing anymore?

Hello,
Deleting your other save games isn't going to work I'm afraid, this particular save game has become too large with junkfiles.
I recommend moving your population with Porter, you can find the instructions here.
If you move them to the same neighbourhood, your porter family will overwrite the existing sims if they're the same sims, so there wont be any duplicates.

Re: Problem with saving and crashing (Sims 3).
So every relationship and everything that my Sim "achieved in life" will be saved, but just in new town? I don't understand it very well... And one more question, if I start a new game in a new town it won't have that problem anymore (Error code 12)?

Hello,
Not for a while.
The game is so buggy that a lot of junk files pile up and eventually you wont be able to save anymore.
Porter will let you move the entire population to a new town. Depending on your pc, you can move them all at once or in more groups.
I've previously moved 115 sims/26 families at once with my old pc so it should be no problem.
Their friendships etc will all be preserved.

No
errors for now, but I have the same problem with loading like I had with
saving. I was building a house and when I wanted to go back to "edit
town" game was loading about half an hour and I shut it
down... It's really starting to annoying me.

Um, sorry, I accidentally clicked - (+/-) on your comment.. I have Windows 7 and System type is 32-bit. And that's pretty much everything I know about my PC.

Hello,
Don't worry about it, it doesn't bother me.
Your loading problem, is this after moving to a new town?

Well yes but I think it has nothing to do with it.. or maybe it does. I no longer know what to think.

Re: Problem with saving and crashing (Sims 3).
Hello,
No it probably doesn't.
I've been reading about this issue and there's no definitive solution. Some blame it on mods/cc but unless you added some, that's definitely not the case here.
You can try clearing the caches. The simplest way to do that is by dragging&dropping the entire The Sims 3 folder onto your desktop from My Documents\Electronis Arts. A new folder will be generated as soon as you start the launcher, at which point you can take your saves and mods folders from the old folder and copy them to the new one.
You'll have to reinstall any sims3packs you previously had though.
