The Sims 3 Generations HELP

Hi, I am having trouble getting The Sims 3 Generations to work. I have had an ISO crack of the base game for a while and I installed generations today. when I try to play the game, it says I need the generations cd disk to play. Well, I'm confused. Can you please tell me step by step on exactly how and where to place the files? Thanks in advanced!
