Downloading via MediaFire will not give you higher download speeds in any way. Torrent is faster than MediaFire, especially for Games4theworld downloads, which have quite a lot of seeders.

Just be sure to forward your ports correctly and stuff like that.
Since we want to stimulate torrents, we do not do any uploads on websites like MediaFire, for complete games.

HI! I downloaded The Sims 3: Generations expansion pack (From G4TW download page) and it's not working. I downloaded the torrent using Utorrent and extracted the files to a folder and got a message from WinRAR stating that there was a "Diagnostic Error",

CRC failed in GameData\Shared\NonPackaged\Library\Casita.package The file is corrupt

The file "???" header is corrupt

I then closed the window and a new folder was uploaded, "The Sims 3: Generations", I clicked it and here are what folders I have.

C:\Users\USER\Downloads\The Sims 3 - Generations\GameData\Shared\NonPackaged\Library

In the Library folder there are 3 PACKAGE files.



ADollsHouse.package

BasicallyAHouse.package

BetrothalBungalow.package

There are a few text documents in the folders too.

I'm trying to download "The Sims 3: Generations to be able to update my Sims 3 game to the lastest version using the ultimate fix. I currently have Version 1.24! Any help is appreciated!!!!

Slow downloads happen to me once in a while. All my torrents, regardless of the torrent downloader I use, will make like turtles. I found a way to sort this problem out; I don't guarantee it will for you, but it does work for me.

Use uTorrent. If you are already, uninstall it completely. Delete your settings when the option to comes up. Wait a few minutes and install it again. Download one torrent to test it out and see if it is downloading any quicker than it was. Hopefully this will solve your issues too. If it doesn't, uninstall and wait a few hours before installing again.

You can't expect wonders with such a low internet speed. It doesn't matter if the max download speed for a specific torrent is 2GB/s, you'll never get that speed, since your limit is just 256 KB/s.
Nothing you can do to speed it up, other than buying a faster internet connection.
