*[EIDT]Sims 3 base game not asking for disk 2 when installing, should I be worried?

I am installing the base game along with all the expansions now. I started off with the StartDisk file following the installation guide provided from the folder, but it doesn't ask me for Disk1 file just installs fine. Then I try to install Showtime, it comes up with 'integrity cannot be verified' error. I tried just playing the base game but it doesn't have downloads uploads option in the starter and closes down when I press play.

Okay, I've followed the instructions from the guide to my problem and so far the expansions all instal beautifully. I still haven't played the game yet (installing Showtime..), I have my fingers crossed!! Hope it works.

Okay. It's saying that the game process could not be started and shuts
down. I'm thinking it has something to do with the base game and how it
didn't ask me for that second disk? The error reads: Service
initialization failed (0x039e8474).

Sorry but did you use a retail sims 3 base game?
or the sims 3 base game from here?
Can you make a printscreen from the sims 3 launcher in the update tab?

I changed the base game and downloaded it from a different uploader and now the game opens fine, its just that it crashes at lease twice in an hour and its very laggy. My mac is compatible and have enough memory to run sims 3. Is there a fix to prevent crashes?
