Hello again! Here to get some help from the ever-so-amazing admins! So let's get this train wreak a-rollin!

Alright so here's the latest issue (because apparently the Sims refuses to actually work for me... ever.) My load screen, the first one where it says silly stuff like "reticulating splines" doesn't actually freeze like I thought previously. What it does is it sits there, when the bar is fully loaded, for about 25 minutes. (Literally! This is not an exaggeration!) Then it'll finally load the game like nothing ever happened. So now I can play my game, save and quit all happy like. Now here's where it gets angry again, when I try to load ANY previous game, I get the "serious error" and it suggests I restart my game. Does it know how long that takes?! haha But I tried it anyway, to no avail.

For some info: I have all expansions installed minus like 2 stuff packs, I have the ultimate fix applied (correctly) and I recently tried updating my video drivers, which I thought worked but it didn't. I've tried running without cc, and I've tried removing the "downloads" and "mods" folders. I even tried uninstalling and re-installing every. single. game. That was fun. Loading... Alright admins, work your magic! ... Please. lol

Hello,

Don't be angry, be happy instead!
Let's see... what if you completely remove (read: backup) the "The Sims 3" folder from the Documents\Electronic Arts\ directory?

Also, for the "Serious error", try this: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t3642-a-serious-error-has-occurred-while-loading-possible-fix-the-sims-3-neigbourhood-loading

I just tried removing the Sims 3 folder but it's still doing the 25 minute load. I'd like to conquer that beast first >.< Any ideas?

Hello,

Good, let's see, are you on a laptop?
Also, try this program called GameBooster, prior to starting the game.

Okay, I tried that program and I put the shortcut for the most recent expansion I have (showtime) and the red bar at the bottom gets almost full and just sits there. It never loads the game. Well maybe it will eventually, I gave it about 10 minutes. I'm assuming it's not supposed to take that long...

Nope, none. But I gave the program a few more minutes and it finally loaded the game up. So I put my old Sims 3 folder back in to see if it would load my old game. It did, and this time when the program started up, it went right away. So then I tried installing my cc again and now the program still starts up quickly but I'm back to the 25 minute load screen in the game, but it did load my game still when it finally got into the game. So I saved and quit the game and now I'm sitting through the 25 minute load to see if it'll load that game again now that I've saved over it.

Do you think it's my cc then?

Hello,

(Some) CC is known for causing problems and, indeed, especially slowing-down problems.
If the problems only occurs after placing back the CC files then, yes, it's the CC.

Alright. Is there any kind of program to find problematic cc? I know there is for .package files but I use .sims3pack files because packages slow my game down tremendously.

Hmm... not sure that it can scan .sims3pack files. I downloaded the dashboard and I didn't see a way to scan anything but .package...

//EDIT

I removed the CC and removed the sims 3 folder again, ran that program again and I'm still getting the 25 minute load... >.< grrr

Hello,

How large is your save game? Does it have a lot of sims, have you been playing this save game for a lot of generations?
The Sims 3 is a very buggy game and with each save, junkfiles pile up and and your save file gets larger over time. Larger saves take longer to load.

No, I recently reinstalled all games so my save files have only been played a few seconds each because I made them only to test and see if the game was working.

//EDIT

I am doomed to a Simless life >.<
