The Sims 1: The Complete Collection Start-Up trouble

Alright, so i have correctly installed the game and yet when i run it as administrator it still boots up into a black screen, stays there for a couple of seconds, and goes back to the desktop. I have read the directions carefully into installing the game, and i even went back and reinstalled it again by following the video on Youtube. Still. Nothing.

A lot of people have been commenting this EXACT same problem and are pulling their hair out. So hopefully you guys can finally end my madness and others by providing the solution for everybody. And of course, keep our hair.

I have tried the first suggestion you mentioned (turn on D.E.P following
YouTube directions) still had the same problem. However it did take a
couple more seconds to kick me back into the desktop.

I also
tried it in windowed mode. It was funny since when it tried to boot up
it showed a small window but quickly disappears 2 seconds later.

Please provide your graphic card's model and what OS you're on and whether it's a 32-bit or 64-bit PC.
