Hello,

That's not uncommon I'm afraid. Did you get a particular error message, or just "The Sims 3 has stopped working".
You can try these, but if that doesn't help it's just something that happens. Save often, at least after every major event.

No, not that message. "The Sims 3 encountered some problems and nned to close. We are sorry ..... if you are in middle of something it might be lost etc..etc.." (That was i remember)

It may make a difference to use Gamebooster. But other than that, this happens to a lot of simmers.

Hello,

It's a freeware that shuts down unneeded processes in the background before you start your game. It can make a difference because if you're on an older pc, having too many applications running The Sims 3 can crash. Gamebooster is here.

But try the solutions from the link I gave you before first.

Yes, I do. If you're thinking of trying it, you'll have to hurry. It's not going to be freeware anymore in a couple of days. I just installed the 3.5 beta myself.
