town doesn't load.[SOLVED]

starting to have this constantly... :/

game loads perfectly fine. runs smooth and fast. after i click which town file i want to play it proceeds to load forever. it will get to the very end and just load forever with like 1 mm left.. it isn't frozen because the music still plays and the hint thingy is still refreshing and giving out other hints it just loads forever...

my only possibly explanation would be because my town had alot of lots. but then i did try to run a new town in appaloosa plains and it didn't work. same thing.

for that specific game file it loaded all the way to that point and then it would just not load.. it makes it look like it's loading but nothing happened. i left it running while i went to play a bot match in league of legends (roughly 30 min game) and it's still the same point.

For me, if I minimize the game, it'll stop loading and any other interactions that are happening. That could be happening with your computer also. Have you tried letting it load while doing something off of the computer?

i have alot of cc. not everything posted on g4tw, but a great ammount.

as of yesterday. i only had mods for:

storefix 1,2,3, nobuildsparkle (i don't quite recall knowing what this one does), no intro, and spellbookfix.

@invalid, that doesn't happen to me. mine normally loads regardless if its minimized or not. but i'll give it a shot to see if anything changes.

Hello,

I think the spellbook fix conflicts with store fixes 1,2 and 3.
CC will not usually cause this.

i deleted the spellbook fix and also uninstalled and deleted cc's that weren't from the store content.

no difference, so i'm just going to assume that the file somehow became corrupted.

less headaches for everyone lol. going to probably take a sims break until supernatural comes out.

Well, this problem is caused by CC. I used to have this in past and I conpletly uninstalled game, instal everithing (including CC) and i STILL had a problem. Than I uninstall ALL CC (mods and s3p) and it was okay. I strongly believe this is caused by some mod, that conflicts with base game running. So I think you shoud delete any mod, that is changing basic rules in game. Like skill mod, teen career mods, woohoo interaction mods and so on.. Smile

Worked for me.

Hello,

Mods that are updated to work with the latest game version should work fine though. I've never had any problems I couldn't fix by using the right mod versions.

thank you for the input. i can confirm that it isn't a mod because i've tested it by deleting all mods and it didn't do the trick. when i first encountered the issue the only mod i had was storefix 1,2,3, nointro, and nosparkle (whatever this is). although it seems to take longer to load i think i fixed it. created new ea folder, downloaded new mod folder and it seems to be fine.

I think it was the caches then. You cleared them when you got the new folder.Good to hear it got fixed though, don't hesitate to post if you have questions or problems again.
