Hi There Lady Eldi
I Have The Same Problem Each Time I Install The Game And Follow The Directions To The # I Get The Same Error " Service Initialization Failed (0x024e424f)" Can You Assist Me As This Is Going To Be The 10th Time I Am Trying To Install The Sims 3 and the 4th tome i am formatting the computer! if possible?
I Have The Following System:
Core I3
4 Gig DDR 3 Memory
160 Gig Hard Drive
Win 7 Pro 32 Bit ( Tried 64 Bit )
AMD Radeon Graphic Card HD6500.

Hello,

The good news is that you won't have to reinstall or format your pc to fix this error.
It can be caused by 2 problems, either an incompatible crack, or incompatible mods.
Are you using mods/cc? If you do, please go to (My) Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 and drag and drop the mods folder to your desktop and try to start the game after that.
If it's still not working, it's your crack. You can get the most recent crack from the fix, which will work with the most recent game version. If your game isn't version 1.36 yet, use the manual patch before you use the crack.

Dear Admin And Lasy , I Have Downloaded The Fix And The Patch, And Installed The Patch And Copied The Crack Over To The Game Dir. But Still The Same Problem, I Have Uninstalled All The Expansion Packs, And Reinstalled Only The Base Game Sofar. I Have Installed The Patch From 1.00.631 To 1.36.45, Applied The Crack Found On The ISO Folder, And Runed The Game From The TSW.exe As The Launcher Does Not Work. No The Base Game Ask Me The Following: "please Instert The Sims 3 Game Disc Before Proceeding" - Must I Continue Installing The Expansions Packs Or Is There A Problem With My Crack? Or Launcher? I Will Do A Screenshot For You And Post In On Here.

Hello,

To start, the crack requires at least one of the following expansions: Diesel Stuff, Katy Perry Sweet treats, Showtime, Master Suite Stuff, Pets, Town Life Stuff or Generations.
So just the base game and the crack is bound to give you an error.

If you install one of those packs, you can copy the crack to the folder in the picture. It is the right folder, but not the right files. You need the ones from the #crack folder in the fix.
