Game freezes Empty Game freezes

Hello

I did everything according to this site and the game worked fine
untill I wanted to make a sim...
the game froze and I had to shut down my laptop completely...
I'm going crazy with all these little problems... I'm THIS close on giving up on the sims 3 Crying or Very sad
Please help me fix this?

ps before you tell me that my laptop probably can't handle the Sims, I played the sims on this laptop before but had to uninstall it. Now I want to play it again but... well... It keeps freezing... Crying or Very sad

Hello,

Don't give up!
And I'd be the last person to tell you you can't run it, my pc is seriously low end and barely supposed to run the game at all and I have all the expansions (no stuffs though) and a number of mods.
Are you using any mods related to CAS, like sliders? If you don't, have a look here.

does the game freeze as in you can't do anything anymore or is it just a constant lag freeze? cause that used to happen to me alot. little lag glitches. no clue how i stopped it.

No I don't use any mods. I just installed sims 3 and all the extentions and stuffs from this site.
And I tried every thing on that link But it still freezes and crashes.

and to anonymouse, It's a freeze where I can't do anything anymore. The music hangs, the screen freezes and I can't even use my mouse anymore. I tried the CTRL+ALT+DELETE to get the Task Managemer but that doesn't even work... I have to hold down my power button to shut down my laptop and turn it on again....

I don't know what to do...

I have no idea how to look if they are up to date or not and I have no idea either how to update them.
I googled it tho and I used that thing where it looks if my computer can run the sims 3 and all but that said it was more than capable.
How do I check if my graphic driver and other drivers are up to date?

Hello,

Start by using windows update. Also, have a look at your laptop manufacturers' website to find out if they have updates available. Your graphicscard can usually be updated from it's manufacturers' website.

I have an Asus A52JC laptop. When I go to the Asus website and type in "update" at the searchbar, I get 2 things "Eee Tools: Live Update. Live Update automatically updates your Eee PC's BIOS, software, service packs and so forth." and "ASUS Update. The ASUS Update utility allows you to save the current BIOS file and update the latest BIOS directly from the Internet."
Which one do I have to choose? and what do I have to click after that?...
Or is this completely wrong?

Let's see, can you tell me what your graphic card's (Grafische kaart) model is? You can use Speccy (www.speccy.com) to find out; I personally love that program.
That way I can find the correct driver for you.

Hello,

Please go to this link: http://support.asus.com/Download.aspx?SLanguage=nl-nl&m=A52JC&p=3&s=246
Now, select your Operating System: Windows 7 64-bit .

The download page will show up now. Scroll down and click on "VGA . Different graphic drivers will be shown. Click on "Global" on the driver called "Intel Graphics Driver", version "V8.15.10.2202" .

Download and install the driver, restart your PC and then test the game and let us know the result. Good luck!

I downloaded that thing but... I really don't know how to use these things...
I don't know what to click or where to look... sigh...
I'm so sorry for my stupidness and noobness...
I'm so so so close to giving up because.... ugh.... Ik ga even over naar nederlands als je het niet erg vind.
Ik kan echt niet om gaan met al die computer dingetjes. Ik snap er allemaal geen snars van.
Het liefst zie ik echt een stapje voor stapje (letterlijk) handleiding want anders dan zit ik met veel te veel vragen en ben ik bang dat ik iets verkeerd doe.

Hallo,

Geen probleem hoor, het kan soms ook best wel ingewikkeld zijn.
Als u de driver al heeft gedownload dan kunt u deze nu installeren, waarschijnlijk is het een kwestie van dubbel-klikken op datgene wat u gedownload heeft en dan gaat de rest vanzelf. U hoeft gedurende de setup in principe niets te veranderen.
Als de driver geinstalleert is dan reset u de pc en kunt u het spel gaan testen.

Heeft u het bestand al gedownload? Dan is het waarschijnlijk een .rar (bestandsformaat) bestand. .rar bestanden kunt u openen met het programma WinRAR, welke u apart dient te downloaden. (Wij bieden de volledige versie van het programma aan op www.games4theworld.org , mét handleiding)

Als dat niet het probleem is, waar zit dan precies het probleem?

Natuurlijk maken we allemaal wel eens fouten, maar zonder fouten staat altijd netter, toch?
De betekenis is meestal wel af te leiden ja, haha.

Ps. "dt" is geen uitgang. Bij "dt" hoort de "d" al bij het woord zelf, bijvoorbeeld:

Werkwoord: worden

Ik word (Stam)
Jij wordt (Stam + t)
Hij, zij, het wordt (Stam + t)
etc.

Beter laat dan nooit. cheers

Hahaha ja inderdaad en dit kan ik misschien nog wel gaan onthouden. Misschien moet ik het maar lekker bij Engels houden, dat gaat veel beter. Bovendien staat de hele pc in het Engels dus de spellingscontrole helpt ook een handje.

Ik heb het rar bestand uitgepakt. Maar er staan zegmaar allemaal bestandjes en mapjes en ik weet niet zo goed welke ik nu moet aanklikken.
