Another update after 1.36 - doesn't work? Confused! [SOLVED]

Hi,

I downloaded the Master Suite stuff pack yesterday and followed the instructions regarding updates and fixes. I updated manually too. It worked perfectly. Then I installed Sims 3: Fast Lane Stuff and again, followed the installation guide. By this time the update was already at 1.36. I didn't get any errors during installation, however when I start the launcher and click play, the launcher just goes off without a warning. It's happening with Generations and Master Suite too.

It says I need to update to: TS3P02_5.8.1.011031_Update.exe

Pretty sure 1.36 is the latest one right?
Even so, when I tick the box and click "Update now" nothing happens.

What's going on?

All of the launchers? I mean, I double clicked all of the expansion packs shortcuts on my desktop, along with the base game.

Never knew about bypassing before, but I just tried it and The Sims: Master Suite stuff came on. I was hoping for Fast Lane stuff.
