Installing Sims 3 + EPs [SOLVED]

Hi, I'm new here. After trying to install Sims 3 on my mac for 2 days to no avail, I decided to register an account and hopefully get some help here.

I'm running on Mac Snow Leopard.

Here are the files I have:
- Base game (G4TW and Reloaded versions)
- EPs (Pets, Ambitions, Generations, Showtime, Supernatural, Late Night) [all have been converted to .dmg files]
- v.1.38 Mac fix
- Ultimate fix (latest version)

How I installed the games:
- Launch installer and installed in my applications folder.
- For EPs, I did the same thing and installed in the same sims 3 folder.

I am unable to install Showtime, Supernatural and Pets. This is the error I will get:
"The version of The Sims™ 3 installed is not updatable and is not compatible with The Sims™ 3 Showtime"

Also, after applying the manual v1.38 patch, my Game/Bin folder is greatly changed! I don't even see any more "TS3W.exe" or "TSLHost.dll", and all the launcher files are gone as well. As such, When I double-click on The Sims 3 icon, nothing even happens.

I've tried so many methods and I keep getting the same problems. Am I doing something wrong? I'm seriously about to go crazy! Can anyone help me? I have no problems installing on my bootcamp windows but I'd hate to switch to windows everytime just to play Sims 3. I really wanna play on my mac! Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Remove the Games4theworld version, that one doesn't work on a Mac anyway.
Use the Reloaded version and then download and apply this manual patch: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t3597-can-t-update-the-sims-3-to-v138-fix-manual-patch-updated

Hi Admin, thanks for that tip but unfortunately I have tried the reloaded version too. After I applied the patch my Sims 3 would not even open. Many of the files have disappeared.

I'd love to work with a Mac again and see how the whole progress goes from start to end.

Here's some additional info that might help:

Steps I took to install the reloaded version of base game:

- Install with serial provided
- Crack (replaced Info.plist and TS3.exe)
- Run manual patch v1.38 on The Sims 3 icon.

After this, I double-clicked on The Sims 3 and nothing happens at all. I checked the Bin folder and many files have changed, as I posted in the previous reply.

I am online now, but may not be able to provide direct help via TeamViewer. Maybe in a few hours though.

I downloaded my base game from the pirate bay. There are a few for Mac. After that I downloaded all my expansion packs from games 4 the world. Make sure you have the latest mac ultimate fix ready. you WILL need it.

After you have your base game set up and your expansion packs are downloaded and you are ready to install, Use a program like Keka ( what i prefer ) unzip your rar file, make a new folder, drag the contents that were just extracted form your rar file, drag them into the new folder, open Keka, click on the iso tab, name it whatever the expansion pack is you are installing, drag your folder into the compress section of the iso tab. Your iso file will be created, click on it and in it is everything that you extracted from the rar file, click on the installer and it should run perfectly, then use the serial code provided in the installation guid that came with it. Don't apply the crack. AFter you have all the expansion packs you want installed doing exactly the same as above. THEN you will apply the mac ultimate fix and follow it to a T ! When it comes to installing your update use the manual patch with the link provided in the fix guide. Then follow through the last step of applying the final crack.
