The Ultimate Fix doesn't work and tells me to reinstall base game SIMS 3 PETS

Whenever I try to convert the .exe files from the Ultimate Fix on WineBottler so they can work on my mac, it says "you must reinstall base game" and I bought the base game. Di I have to have the game from here or does the actual copy work? Please help me! I've been trying to figure out how to download the Sims 3 Pets expansion for at least three days now and I can't get it to work. Also, I downloaded the Sims 3 Pets and everything worked perfectly until I tried to play it and it still says no disc after I installed the update and followed all the instructions.

Your copy should work, also use StuffIt Expander it just seems to work better then most.

Edit: Also I'm not familiar with Mac's so might have to wait for another member that is more-so to assist if it doesn't help.

Downloaded the game from Games4theworld?
If yes, please extract the .rar file using Stuffit Expander first.
After doing so, create a .DMG file out of the created files.
