World Adventures Regedit

2. Now open the Start menu. Type 'regedit' in the search box and press [ENTER]. Navigate to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Sims\The Sims 3 and double-click on 'SKU'. Change the shown
number to 2 and press 'OK'. Close the Register Editor.

I can open the regedit but i cant find the sims file in software on local machine, but i did found something in HKEY_CURRENT_USER there is a file which is called electronic arts and in that file there is a sims3 file. In this sims3 file there is no value at all. Could you please help me with this because i really want to play world adventures.

I suggest you to read properly the Installation guide. Especially the SKU part, Currently I'm not at my place. So I can't provide the guide to you.

the guide isn't the problem
i know what to do but when i open regedit i get as far as HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE
but there isnt any sims file in mine so could u plz help or should i just install the sims without WA?

It should be in: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Wow6432Node > Sims > The Sims 3

I actually found mine in a different place. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Sims > The Sims 3 I have Vista so that might have been why it was different but I found SKU in that so check and see if you can find it there.

Yes, it's different for a lot of people.
If it isn't in: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Sims > The Sims 3
then it's in: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Wow6432Node > Sims > The Sims 3


Please note that there shouldn't be anything with "Electronic Arts" in the path. (Some people open that folder by mistake)
