The Sims 3 update error. [SOLVED]

I was trying to install the complete sims 3 package including late night. I first uninstalled everything and restarted my pc and then I followed the directions to install the sims3 core game first. After the install finished I tried to install WA and I keep getting an error saying:

The Sims 3 needs to be updated before this product can be installed.
Setup will now attempt to update The Sims 3. Do you wish to continue?

If i say no the installation cancels and if i say yes I get an error saying:

Error wist The Sims 3 update. Setup is unable to continue.

I don't know what to do because I keep uninstalling everything and restarting and I always get this same error when trying to install WA. I haven't used any of the cracks so I don't know what the problem could be. Thanks in advance for the help.

I figured out the problem, after you install sims 3, double click it then under the play button if you look at the bottom there should be something that says game updates. You have to let it update to the latest version then install everything. Works fine now I tried live support but I didn't feel comfortable letting some stranger have access to my pc >.>...
