Over a Month of Problems trying to install Sims 3. [SOLVED]

In the beginning my game got so botched up that I decided to do a full reinstall. I know that is where I went wrong, but too late to change that now. After reinstalling, I had error after error and was working with EA, but they have been absolutely no help to me. Right now I have the base game downloaded and installed via Origin. I downloaded a few of the listed expansions needed to update with the ultimate fix listed in the forums here. My problem is... after downloading the base game, I cannot install any expansions, none. I can download them, but not install them and I get a warning message saying I can't install until I update to the latest patch. When I try to install the patch, via the link provided by these forums (the same one EA emailed to me), I get an error message

I'm really really hoping someone can help me out. I haven't played in over a month and miss it so much!!!! By the way, I own most of the stuff packs and expansion packs. I think Diesel is the only one I don't have or anything after Supernatural because I know they are coming out with a few more soon. I wish I could say that it worked, but it isn't working. Chrome is what I used first when I had the error. I tried Firefox and it would get to 99% and stop. Same thing with Internet Explorer. I really appreciate your help so far with this. It was a much quicker response than the Sims 3 Forum and waaaaayyyyyyy quicker than EA.

I assume that you were using browsers to download the file. how about using download managers like Internet Download Manager, Free Download Manager etc? maybe that could work.

Do you only have issues with downloading the patch, or do you have issues with most stuff you try to download?

Only the patch, everything else I have downloaded has been fine. I will look into a download manager though, thanks for the tip.

This is a weird error and we still haven't found the real cause. All we know is that using a different browser sometimes works.
On an experimental, I'm currently uploading the 1.39 patch to MediaFire, split into 9 files of each 199MB (MediaFire has a 200MB upload limit).

When done, I'll send you the links and tell you how to join them back to one file. I'd love to know the result for future reference.

I'm currently trying to download through the internet download manager, crossing my finger. Will report back on the status.

Should only need the latest one working with the Ultimate Fix, 1.39 (1.42 is out, but Ultimate Fix isn't working)

Since the patch overwrites all the other files it uses (or should I would guess) so downloading older patches just to update to the latest is a waste of time.
