Error during startup

Since I am unable to post in the The Sims 3 PC Fix sub forum as it says I only users with special access can post I have to post in here.

I am getting this error during startup, please see log file, I have yet to look at the log file and I have tried everything I have found on the web, update video car drivers, registry fixes, even the one posted by the admin on youtube about deleting un-used games, (since we have all games there was nothing to delete)

There isn't much more I can try, now my partner make the mistake of updating to the latest version using the patcher download in the hoping to fix this but even still the launcher should still work, just without the error.


If anyone has any options please let me know.

hi i redid the patch last night and the fix again the game npow starts if i bypass the launcher but still getting the startup error

What is your base game version now? Just to double check.

how do i check without the launcher? i applied the manual patch which allowed me to update to 1.38 then did the crack again, ive installed supernatural today which seems to b playing fone with exception of the launcher still errors. ive always updated each time u repair ur fix for the new updates so dont no why my game was so out of date. my aprtner wroite the first one so i dont no hwre he got that pic from

Well the launcher is stupid anyways lol Basically useless except for installing world and sim files.

Do you have any mods or cc? I'm not sure if it could be possible to have one of those mess with the launcher.

And could you post a screenshot of the error you're getting from the launcher?

I have looked at your video and since we have all games installed there is nothing to delete, so without uninstalling the games we still get that error.

How do you think we should continue?

Also try using this specific version of the manual patch: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t1870-can-t-update-the-sims-3-to-v138-fix-manual-patch , instead of the "Patch Downloader", please.

I have installed the patch manually and the problem is still there, now here is a development, we have 2 users on our PC and if I use my partners login the launcher works fine, yet I still get that error so it could be a registry problem on my login.
