First topic message reminder :

Here's my problem.
My sims 3 works properly when I still had the base game alone.
I played the Sunset Valley for awhile but when I switch to playing in Bridgeport it won't finish loading and it would state in the Windows Task Manager that the game isn't responding anymore.

I really did the "how to install sims 3 correctly" PRECISELY.

Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) II X2 240 Processor (2 CPUs), ~2.8GHz
Memory: 2048MB RAM
DirectX Version: DirectX 11
Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit (6. 1, Build 7600)
Video: NVIDIA GeForce 9500 GT

Ohplease Help me Wat.

Also when I load Sunset Valley it loads, but when I put a building like in Late Night buildings on the lots, it crashes.

Yes I have. The problem still occurs.

This wasn't happening before I installed the expansions Late Night, Generations, Town Life, Fast Lane, Supernatural.

Recently I've reinstalled ONLY the base game. It's screwed. It hangs just like the other expansions. So the problem I think is either my files or a software installed on my computer. But I need help to determine which is which.

If you only have the base game, the crack from the fix and everything won't work properly.

I didn't use the crack since it's 1.39. My base game is 1.06 atm. I use the crack in the folder with the download (razor1911)

Hello,

You should be able to run the base game easily. Is it a fresh, clean install? Meaning, did you also renew the The Sims 3 folder in Documents\Electronic Arts? If you didn't, you may be able to get better results if you back it up and remove it now. Of course you can restore your Saves, Mods and Downloads folders.

Hello,

Perhaps it's your pc that needs to be looked at, not the game itself. I can assure you that my ps is much worse than yours, but I have no trouble running the game with 3-4 ep's.
But you may want to look at your pc maintenance. Perhaps it is due defragmenting, have fragmented registry or memory. You may have malware slowing it down.
Look into a program like (the free version of) Advanced System care to do a clean up.
You may even benefit from downgrading to XP, depending on how much you want to play the game, since XP doesn't strain your system as Windows 7 does.
