Non-working buttons on the launcher

Hi, I am having a slight problem with my launcher. If I click anything such as, the New Messages link, or New Uploads, or Friend Requests link it doesn't do anything. I can't even access the News from my launcher. This has been occuring for some time, and it hasn't quite bothered me since I can just go online and check Messages, etc. But since they've updated the launcher to show "You have New Gifts" I would really like to see what exactly they are. If you are familiar with this problem could you please show me how to correct it?

Yes, I do. I've recently updated it since Seasons came out.

Oh, that's weird.
It might not be related, but please try re-doing step 2 to 4: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t1171-must-read-how-to-install-the-sims-3-correctly
Be sure to re-download both the manual patch and the Ultimate Fix.

I've done as you've told, but same results. Could I possibly have a faulty Sims3launcher file? I noticed them during the process of applying the cracks.

Update: I realized that when clicking on "Daily Deal", "Mystery Bag",
and "Exchange" it will move from page to page. Also, when I click on
the "Forward" and "Back" arrows it'll move those pages. But when it
comes to clicking on something that's linked to the internet I can't get
any response.

If you had, step 2 of that link should've fixed the problem. (The manual patch)

Let's see, you just click them and nothing happens? The launcher doesn't even close?
If not, please try as follows:

*Backup your savegames

1. Completely uninstall The Sims 3 base game only, using Your Uninstaller! Pro, which you can download from www.games4theworld.org . Choose "Super" mode during uninstallation.
2. Restart your PC.
3. Reinstall the game following these instructions very carefully: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t1171-must-read-how-to-install-the-sims-3-correctly (DO NOT skip any steps!)
4. Test the game and let us know the result.

I apologize. I must have come off vague when I said buttons. I am able to close the launcher; go from "Welcome" to "Downloads" to "Uploads", etc. It's just while I'm on the Welcome page and I click on anything that would normaly link me to thesims3.com website I get no response. I sincerely apologize for my vague-ness again.

IE9 is my default and only browser.

Normally I don't trust (IE9). But try Google Chrome.
