The Sims 3 crashes in build mode (Seasons)

Hello!

I have a problem where The Sims 3 crashes when I've gone to the build mode and save the game after it. The game tries to save for about 30 seconds and after that it crashes and I get the message that Windows has detected and error and due to that it shut down the program. I searched the forums for a solution but I couldn't find any so I thought about starting a new topic.

I downloaded and installed the Ultimate Fix reading the instructions really carefully and I'm sure I didn't do anything wrong while doing that. I also read the topic for how to install The Sims 3 correctly and followed the instructions there. The problem is still there and the game is at the moment unplayable.

Before this problem appeared I installed Seasons and started a new town. I'm playing in Bridgeport if that has any meaning whatsoever. I was able to play for few times without problems and then the game started crashing. Now I can't build anything for my house which annoys me very much. I have no DLC or mods (except for the Ultimate Fix I just tried).

I'm running on Windows XP and my PC is only few months old so it should be able to run the game just fine.

I'm eternally grateful if someone finds a fix to this problem.

I'm using XP on this computer because at the moment I don't have others.

I tried playing in Twinbrook and the same problem occurred. I also tried playing a while after going to build mode and it made no difference whatsoever, the game was still crashing the same way it did before. I started a new game in Sunset Valley and the crash doesn't appear there. I have my doubts though because the crash didn't appear when I first started a new game in the previous town, it only occurred after several days of playing.

Could this crash have something to do with winter? I just realized that it didn't occur before it became winter. I really hope that there's some kind of fix to this coming from EA or somewhere else because I have really epic things going on with my family.

//EDIT: Ok, now I know that the problem isn't related to winter and only applies if I go to build something. I can buy furniture in peace, that doesn't crash the game. I turned winter off completely but the crash still occurred when I tried to save after building a wall to my house. So at the moment I can play with my family as long as I don't build anything. I'm going to try moving them to a different lot and see if that makes any difference. I'll report again when I know more.

//EDIT2: I tried to launch The Sims but when it had gotten to halfway of the demo video the game just crashed. I tried to launch it again but then it crashed my whole computer. I have no idea what's wrong with this game of mine but I feel it's something major. I really hope that this isn't the end of my playing.
