Sims 3 World Adventures issue? PLEASE HELP!?!?!?

Hello, I downloaded the World adventures EP from Games4theworld.com, however the instructions say;
1: go to start menu, type "regedit" (I did this)
2: then it says to go to HKY software something something something/ The Sims 3... (I cannot find this folder and i followed the right path to find it)

What am i doing wrong? why isnt the file "The Sims 3" under software on my REG manager?
Please help me if you can!!! thanks you!!!

Now in the crack 3 folder the first patch wont download it loads up the sims 3 webpage for patches and then says "Invalid: file not found" and exits setup? how can i fix this?
