Sims 3 Installation(s) Disk' thing

Hello forum.

I'm Rik, new on this forum and i'm dutch. So if youre also dutch and youcan explain it, tell it in dutch. if you tell it in english, its also clear.

I've the problem, while i was installing sims3, and it asks for the diskette, i don't know what i have to browse. If i choose the disk itself, i get just E:) or D:) and that's incorrect. I'm using Windows 7 Home Premium.

Excuses voor de wat latere reactie; ik was een tijdje afwezig. U kunt het probleem gemakkelijk als volgt oplossen (Engels):


First, Mount both Images. When the Installation asks for Disk 1, click 'Browse' and select óne of the two Mounted Images. If you get an error, just click the other Image you Mounted. When the Installation asks for Disk 2, do the same. The Installation should go on now.

Ok thnx, the installation didn't fail at all.
But now i wanted to install the expansions, World adventures as first, and in the installation file, there was something about regedit and that stuff, i followed it but i didn't find the sims 3 / The sims 3 file in the register. It isn't there. Where els can i find the file shown in the installation guide?

Problem figured out.
Now i'm by the step with the patches and i get an error in the installation of the first patch.. / update.. What to do now? It sais there's something wrong with the installation and that i have to reinstal sims 3??

2 things: 1: i looked in the wrong patch,
2: now i looked in the good patch but still get an error: Invalid File Found. What to do now!?? is there someone who already know all those things that have chat so i can ask handier than in a forum? An answer via the forum is also oke but tell it if you have msn or something!

Yes, you can contact our Live Support via www.games4theworld.org , but they are currently offline for a while, due to overload of the system.
Please first install our Late Night ánd Outdoor Living Stuff from www.games4theworld.org .
When you're done installing those, install WA. When you're done with installing everything you like, just apply this fix: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t752-the-sims-3-latest-fix-should-fix-most-of-your-problems

The game should work fine now. Good luck!

thats strange because the installation guide of late night sais that you first have to install all the expansions? to who i have to listen??

Hello,

Yes, that's because that guide is out-of-date, since the new expansions came out and the game got updated. There's no need to install all expanions, nor you need to reinstall them.

Just install Late Night and Outdoor Living Stuff and then apply the fix, that's it; the game should work fine now.

i did all the things and started sims 3. It opened in '' Sims 3 outside living stuff '' . the green loading bar loads up, when it was at 100%.. Sims 3 Shut Down. AND MY LAPTOP SHUT DOWN! it just falls off. Yes i had electricy. This is really strange.

try again what?? The whole thingy? how do i have to get back all the files? do I have to delete everything and download sims3 again, that 2 full days? then unpack it for a few hours? if i uninstall everything i lose everything don't i?

No, I meant restarting the game. If it still doesn't work, we should try a full, clean installation. You won't lose your savegames - if you backup them - doing that.

i tried it a few times. everytime it shuts down.
I havent got savegames cause i didnt had sims 3 and i still cant play it.
can u explain how to do a full clean up?? how i have to uninstall sims3 etc?

Yes, you can do a full clean installation as following (Don't do anything else than described below!):

1. Completely uninstall The Sims 3 + All Expansions and other stuff. (CC and DLC's)
2. Restart your PC.
3. Install The Sims 3 base game, but DO NOT apply any cracks yet!
4. Install the expansions you like, but DO NOT apply any cracks yet!
5. Install Late Night, but DO NOT apply any cracks yet!
6. Install Outdoor Living Stuff, but DO NOT apply any cracks yet!
7. Apply this fix: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t752-the-sims-3-latest-fix-should-fix-most-of-your-problems
8. See if it works now.

DO NOT APPLY ANY CUSTOM CONTENT OR DOWNLOADABLE CONTENT TO THE GAME!

OK, do I have to follow the installation guide of all the sims 3's? or just, in the file, click on Setup .exe and install it?

Just follow their Installation Guide's, but skip the cracks.

ik ben bij na nachtleven en buitenleven spullen ofzo
moet ie updaten
krijgt ie foutmelding dat t niet lukt? beetje raar
Wat kan ik eraan doen zodat ie niet hoeft te updaten of de update wel gwn goed doet? kheb btw de download manager niet echt ofzo, ksnap er niks van, waar moet ik die downloaden.

Die EADM heeft u op zich niet nodig. Wat is precies de melding en heeft u exact gedaan als ik in mijn eerdere post aangaf? (Dus GEEN cracks toepassen) In dat geval zou het namelijk geen error moeten geven.

Het bijwerken van De Sims 3 Tm is mislukt. De installatie kan niet hervat worden.

Nee geen cracks geinstalleert. Heb alle uitbereidingen en stuff packs geinstalleert behalve outdoor living stuff en Late Night.
beide geven aan dat iets geupdate moet worden.
Heb trouwens de Ultimate Fix (Fix That Fixes Most of Your Problems) niet toegepast,
want dat leek me toch echt een crack. Moest ik trouwens bij WA en Ambitions de UPDATES installeren zoals beschreven in de installation guide? er staat, open the crack file and install the updates .

De Ultimate Fix bestaat uit zowel de originele bestanden, welke nodig zijn om zonder errors te kunnen updaten, als de cracks.
Nee, gewoon echt puur alleen de games installeren. Wanneer er wordt gevraagd of er moet worden geüpdate, gewoon updaten, maar GEEN cracks toepassen.

Wat betreft de error; ik raad u aan om eerst LN en OLS te installeren en daarna de andere die het niet doen. Dat zou het probleem alsnog moeten oplossen.
En tot slot, wanneer u alles heeft geïnstalleerd, dán pas de Fix.

OLS werrkt dus niet met updaten maar alsnog bedankt! Ff testen of t werkt,
