Error 12 while Saving. [SOLVED]

Helo,

I have installed Sims 3 seasons last week and came across the error 12 today while saving the game. It says

" An unexpected error has occured while saving. Error code 12 ". Please help me out soon, i dnt wanna loose the game.

I found this somewhere:

"Pause the game each time you save. There's no explanation from Electronic Arts as to why this works, but many players have success avoiding Error Code 12 by pressing "Pause" and then "Save" or "Save As."

Or another solutions is if you do get the error, don't close your game, go to the desktop, and Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Saves, and just rename the game folder your playing to something else, so it doesn't need to overwrite files.

Or erm, does above work? I thought I read it in another post here.

I'm not sure if it's because of that, but since I started playing in windowed mode (about a year ago), I got error code 12 only once.

You might want to try turning of DEP (Data Execution Prevention) for the game. DEP can prevent you from edeting data in certain folders on your pc. You can enable it by following these steps:

1 - Right click on 'My Computer' -> click 'properties'

2 - Click 'Advanced System Settings' (on the left of the window) and go to the -> 'advanced' tab

3 - Click on the 'settings' button in the 'Performance' field

4 - Go to the 'Data Execution Prevention' tab and make sure the 'Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select' is checked (IF ITS NOT CHECKED, THIS POST WON'T HELP YOU).

5 - Click 'Add' (at the buttom of the window), browse to The Sims 3 folder and select 'TS3.exe'

6 - Just to be safe, repeat the steps for 'S3Launcher', 'Sims3Launcher', 'Sims3LauncherW' 'TS3W' (pretty much every application that gives you direct exces to play the game).

Hope this will help. If not, please post your pc specs (most importantly, which version of windows you are running) and the version of The Sims 3 you have installed, so we can look for another solution.

I have already read that information, but when i moved the 'travelidb.package' file from the saves, even then it didnt work

I have installed errortrap but not decrapper, but how wil it work ?? because again this error is coming (
