As requested (to write my own thread)... Please help.[SOLVED]

Ok, so first of all, I ask for patience - I do not have it anymore I've never had so much trouble with a game... I've been able to use much more difficult games in terms of protection and I do not understand what is wrong at all...

I do not use the base game from the games 4 the world, but I have updated it to the latest version... and it works perfectly... (since I wanted to play at least something before I get an answer, but I can uninstall it no problem)

I have tried to uninstall it and reinstall it without the crack and followed the instructions here step by step. I watched the video and it made perfect sense... Did everything and when I finally replace the twice replaced crack with the no CD crack in the base game bin folder (yes, I did put into the right one), and try to open the game with the .exe filed that I just pasted in there, not even the loading screen pops out... I tried to do everything from scratch twice after that, in case I missed something... same response...

Just to be clear, my laptop can run Assassin's Creed 3 no problem, so there really is no graphics or whatever of the kind problem here... (I mean that it is a really awesome machine )

I thought it was because I did not download the Download manager, but I did later when I uninstalled everything and started from scratch and it did not help...

So I thought that I could download the games separately from other smart ppl than games4theworld... I am still stuck on WA... the version is 2.0.86 and the crack would not work with 1.42.13 base game... (meaning that it will cause the "unable to verify message")... there was an update available for the game to 2.17.2, but there is no crack accessible on the internet that I could find...

I seriously do not care how you will help me, but please... I know how to back up my saves and everything, so even if I need to do everything over again, I will appreciate it

Have you tried to run the launcher? If so, do you get any errors?

Also, where are you getting 2.17.2? The version I have is 2.0.86, and base 1.42.130 -- the cracks in the "Ultimate Fix" work fine with this combination.

Finally, what is the full error please?

Since the last time I listened to the combined instructions that you have in various places (here, in the downloaded folder; btw, they are quite different and really confusing even though more or less up to same date)... This time I did something differently. I tried to update the base game to 1.42.13 first and then install the other expansions (up to Town Life Stuff). I did what was on the video and then applied the crack.... this time the game loaded but it would give me the "unable to verify" message...

What I have noticed is that in the Fix folder, we might have a different crack than what we had on the video... the folder in the crack was only named Town Life stuff and not all the other expansions together.... maybe there is a mistake in that?

I know that now it is only about the crack since it works at least, so please, what's my next step?

I said before I tried to install separately (meaning that I did not use ANY of the games4theworld expansions since I thought that there might be something wrong with that) So ignore that I said I tried something different, but now I ofc tried again with games4theworld and I have the same version as you (ofc). Please, read what I say carefully, otherwise it will be confusing for the both of us ^_^ Or is it that I am confusing and making it difficult for you guys? If that's so, I apologize...

Any errors with the launcher? As in actual messages that you can copy and paste to us.

No one called you a "beginner". I didn't say a word about the source of your install because as long as it's a full installer (not a blackbox, etc) it's irrelevant.

I asked where you got the 2.17.2 version because it doesn't exist (as far as I know). I didn't state you currently use it.

The cracks in the "Ultimate Fix" still work perfectly fine with the base version and WA version that you have.

The error message you quoted was not a full error message, and did not make sense - it was as if you paraphrased it (or maybe losely translated it), which doesn't really help anyone to help you. That's why I asked for clarification. If you can post the full text of the error message you might get a bit further, but I have a feeling it's just a crack needing to be copied to the right place.

Ok, from the beginning...

There is no problem with the launcher and it does not show any mistake as I understand... none of those I have seen from the other users...

2.17.2 exists but is not required with the games4theworld version - it was an update I got from the reloaded version... but that is not installed in my pc anymore so it is completely irrelevant... I have installed everything up from WA to Town Life stuff from the games4theworld complete folder... applied the Fixes as was in the video:

1. replaced base game with the base game (yes, in the correct Bin directory)
2. replaced with Generations in the base game
3. replaced with Town life stuff in the base game
4. replaced in all other expansion Bin directories with the correct Fixes (ofc except Generations and Town life)
5. tried the launcher, did not offer any update (and did not show any mistake)
6. Finally applied the No CD crack in the crack folder (which was named differently than in the video, where it is called Town Life stuff and other expansion names and in the Fix it is only Town life stuff)... to the base game directory as was instructed

I launched the game and it I will paraphrase it again since it is the most often mentioned mistake... (I use English so I dd not translate anything)... it tells that it is unable to verify if it is a genuine game version and it won't let you go further.... so, as I said, it is something with the crack... I have no idea why the Fix would not work in there... And yes, I did put it into the correct base game bin folder

Alright, could you do this for me please? Go into your base game's bin folder. Change the layout to "Details" (so you get columns of information about the files in the folder, such as date modified, type, size, etc) and submit a screenshot of that folder?

The dates and file sizes TS3W.exe and TSLHost.dll are incorrect. They should be November 1st, 2012 (both), 5,218KB for TSLHost.dll and 13,782KB for TSW3.exe. Here's how to fix it:

Download this file (it's the ultimate fix): http://goo.gl/lkgqA

Nagivate into the "# Cracks" folder of that archive. Copy both files and paste them into the folder you took a screenshot of - ensure that you overwrite the files that are currently there.

Should fix you right up.

Hello,

"The sims 3 complete" is not a genuine G4TW version, it's a compilation of G4TW files other people have made into a single torrent and the fix that comes with it is outdated.
It's good to hear your problem was solved.
