Transferring Sims 3 (and torrents) to new computer. [SOLVED]
I got a new laptop and I'd like to continue to play on my current stories. I have legit base game and Generations. And then I have torrents for High End Loft Stuff, Late Night, Master Suite, and Supernatural. So my questions are this:
1: What exactly do I need to transfer and where exactly do I put them on the computer? If/when it says certain file names already exist (I've already installed the base game and generations via disks on the new computer), do I replace the files, or copy/add to the folder?
2: How do I ensure that the torrents will still work on the new computer? Are the files I need to transfer different than the ones for the base game and generations?
3: I haven't played on the old laptop since the beginning of November, so are there any new updates I need/are required in order to continue playing the torrent games?
TIA.
EDIT:
Yes, I understand I need to put the files on a drive for the transfer, that's not what I asked. I need to know what exact files to transfer. Anyone?

1+2: Copy over the .rars you downloaded via torrents. Then unzip/install them just like you did the first time. Slap on the manual patch + ultimate fix and you should be good to go. If you want to bring over your saved games, copy over your /Documents/Electronic Arts/Sims 3 folder and put it in the same path file.
3: Make sure your drivers are updated.

@antiskub
You forgot the CC and the mods as they are important if he wants to continue his saved game (if he had CC or mods in his save)

Hello,
Those are located in Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 though. As long as the entire The sims 3 is copied, all mods and cc will be there.
