Game freezes and screen flickers bright and dim

Hi,
I have Late Night, Generations, Pets, Supernatural, and Seasons installed. My game started doing this a few days ago so I followed the steps given here https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t5315-screen-flashes-bright-and-dim-then-freezes. I had the same issues except that it doesn't just happen when I went into the map view, it happens ALL THE TIME (map view, sims house, zoomed in on sim) and has also been lagging in CAS and build/buy modes. I also tried the steps given on the other threat but when I moved my TS3 folder to the desktop, none of my custom music, saved sims, or CC showed up in game (Would I have to move everything back from the old folder to the new one?). Please help me fix this issue.

Hello,
Moving the TS3 folder is just to test the game. If it works, you can move your saves, mods and downloads folders back. It takes care of all things that could potentially cause a problem such as bad mods/cc and bad caches.
But to be honest I think this is a graphics issue. Your graphics card isn't officially supported so it may just be too much. Especially Seasons. That doesn't mean everything though. Start with updating your graphics drivers, I think you need this one. When you install it, choose a custom, clean install.

Thank you for replying so quickly! I just tried to play my game again and wasn't even playing for 5 minutes when it happened again.
But moving the TS3 folder did work when I tried to follow the other instructions. It didn't take a long time to load the game like it has been recently. If I moved all of my saves and downloads back into the file, would the issue continue to happen?
Also, if my graphics card is the issue, is this update safe to use on my computer?

Hello,
Your saves won't let the problem reoccur, downloads might but usually they don't. Were you using mods?
This update is a driver from the official Nvidia website. As you can see, it's a driver for XP, and your card is supported. It won't do any harm for sure.

No, the only thing I used was CC. So just to be clear, I copy the TS3 folder to my desktop, then delete the other one and start my game?
