How do I apply the Manual Patch?

Hello,

so today I decided to try out the Sims 3 and install everything.

I read about this community on piratebay torrent, and I am following this topic to install the game: 'https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t1171-must-read-how-to-install-the-sims-3-correctly'

It tells me to run this manual patch as one of the steps: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t1870-can-t-update-the-sims-3-to-v133-fix-manual-patch.

But when I extract it with Winrar, I don't see any button to click to run this patch, nor do I find a file that looks like the patch itself. While I was downloading it, it did gave me some errors. Some files were corrupted. Does this have to do with that?

you're using windows 7 from what I see in your informations and the windows patch of sims 3 is an .exe so there's nothing to extract with Winrar , you just download it ,then double click on it and it install itself

Unless you're downloading the patch for a mac version , that is a .tgz file but if you're getting "some files were corrupted" ,I suggest you to download it again.
