"Error during startup. See log for more details." Teamviewer me please? :[ [SOLVED]

First of all, I've followed everything in this guide as carefully as possible:

I had the base game and the following expansions/stuff packs installed:
Ambitions
Diesel Stuff
Generations
Katy Perry's Sweet Treats
Late Night
Master Suite Stuff
Pets
Seasons
Showtime
Supernatural
Town Life Stuff
World Adventures


After following the guide, and finally went to play the game, I got the error saying "Error during startup. See log for more details." So I searched the forums here and found this guide and followed it:

In the guide it mentions to get rid of folders you don't have installed, there were 3 that I didn't have currently installed that were in the registry. I deleted them as told in the guide, hoping this would fix the problem. No such luck, I'm still getting the error.

So, I decided to uninstall everything and start from scratch, this time I only installed base game, Seasons, and Supernatural (I want to play Seasons and Supernatural the most, but having the expansions and stuff packs that I originally had installed would be awesome).
I followed the steps in the first guide I mentioned when I installed them, and still, same problem is happening. "Error during startup. See log for more details."
I'm at a loss, and I don't have the money to buy the games.

I tried the Sims Registry helper, and I don't understand it at all. The fix key is faded out, so I can't even use it.
I'm so frustrated, I just want to play this game, I've spent the past 3 days working on this.


Anyone able to help me figure this out? I would love using teamviewer for help, please, if that's a route anyone would be willing to take. I'm not new to torrenting games, so I'm not a complete noob here or anything, I just don't understand why I can't get this to work when following such basic instructions. I'm missing something that someone here might not miss? I think?

Regarding the Registry Helper, the first little dialog box that pops up with a bunch of text - that tells you why the "Fix" button is disabled, and how to go about getting the "Fix" button to be enabled.
