Default spoiler text color
The spoiler background color is white and the spoiler text color is white. Is there any way one of the two could be changed to a darker color?

Lol. That is a bit funny. I accidentally highlighted what's in the box. It's like a secret message, only you don't need milk or candle light. What is that box anyway exactly?

Re: Default spoiler text color
It's to allow people to add "spoilers" that people have to click to view what's in side - so the innocent bystander isn't hit with a spoiler that the destroys purpose of playing a game/watching a move. However, I use it for many things, such as the screenshots in my software threads ( see https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t9449-ts3-save-game-manager-beta-new-year-release ) or instructions for specific types of setups (ie: I'll put different instructions for 32bit and 64bit in spoiler tags, so the person has to click the right spoiler tag to see what they need to do - it helps reduce errors from copying and pasting the wrong command or following the wrong instructions).

You mean like this? I just picked my color first and then seleted a spoiler insert, but you want the default white to not be there though.

Yep, you can change the text color manually.. but it's a PITA to remember every time you do a spoiler

Re: Default spoiler text color
I noticed lol. I actually would think that changing it is an option though...Then again I am questioning that very statement.
Edit Have you ever thought about using the scroll box code?

Different tools for different objectives. Scroll boxes allow you to let users scroll large areas of text, which isn't one of the reasons I use a spoiler tag

It's pobably because the default text colour for replies is white.

Re: Default spoiler text color
If I remember from my days of running a phpBB forum, it has it's own color settings. If they're allowing access via the phpBB Control Panel it'll be in Display -> Colors -> CSS, then you look for the line that says something like:
.spoiler {
background: #(hex color code) !important
}
.spoiler {
background: #(hex color code) !important
}

Hello there,
I'll check it out right away and let you know the result.
//EDIT
Thanks for that piece of CSS, Hexorcist.
What do you think? Does it look better now?
I'm not good with colours, so please let me know if you guys know any better colour.

Re: Default spoiler text color
That may not work well for people who are colourblind. I remember a while back someone mentioned that, can't find the topic now, but they specifically mentioned yellow/orange on the dark background was difficult to make out.

Hello there,
Yes, I remember that topic, just couldn't remember the "good" combinations.
Any suggestions?

Re: Default spoiler text color
I'm afraid I can't find it, or remember it. Is it at all possible to change the textcolour of the spoiler box to black and leave the background white?

If we change the background, it draws attention; that's what we want, right?

Re: Default spoiler text color
lol.. that's why I couldn't find it. Never looked there.
I guess a brighter yellow would do? Though I guess that would still make it impossible to make out the white text. Perhaps we should wait for more replies though, I believe I've seen hexorcist mention he's colourblind in one of his tools' topics.
Anyway, if the spoiler's background is white, but the text black, it does stand out.

Re: Default spoiler text color
Thanks! Yes, I am colorblind, but my deficiency doesn't play much of a role with these colors - looks fine to me
