A wise mrems1 once wrote:find the executable in your hard drive.
Right click on it, and select "show package contents"
there will be a file called info.plist
Open info.plist with texteditor
Scroll down to the line after this one:
CedegaGameName
Change the last part to read TSM.exe instead of SMLauncher.exe
Don't change anything else!!!!
Save and quit textedit.
then simply close finder and run the game and it should run just fine!

Re: The Sims: Medieval launcher not opening fix.
Hi,
I appear to be having the same problems. When I get into the info.pls, I get the same list which Brian23 gets. Grrgh!
//EDIT
Kust went through the other topic where this fix was listed, and read some of the info on ts3 fixes. When I show package for "the sims medieval installer" and go through contents and then to the info.plst, I get the same stuff as before -
This makes me think that I am not looking in the right spot for the exe. Any ideas? I'm very much looking forward to play this while uni is out, so I hopefully can get this fixed within a week!

Re: The Sims: Medieval launcher not opening fix.
i am having the same problem.
This issue is not with the game, its with the installer. I can't run the installer to install the game so maybe i'm missing something here. I have the cracks for the games and have been able to install outdoors with no issues with the cracks but i can not run the installer for high end loft either. so i'm assuming its a mac issue with the installers. i'm currently downloading late night and ambitions so lets see if the installer works for them on my mac. if I need to use a crack on the installer can someone let me know were to find it.

Yes guys, you MUST use this version of Stuffit expander when extracting the .rar files..
Otherwise it will not work.

TSM.exe
I am so glad I found this forum. After 4 calls to EA, countless emails, and posts on forum sin wine and cider, I was about to give up. I bought the sims medieval for my mac book pro. I install the game just fine, but when I try to play I get an "exception raised" error saying something about an undhandled page fault on read access at some location. I tried to go into the plist and change the executable file from SMLauncher.exe to TSM.exe, but it didnt work. I don't get the error anymore, and the game attempts to run, but the only thing that happens is a Big picture of the green sims symbol thingy pops up really quick, then goes away. Thats it. I think a picture is better than an error message, but it still won't play. My system requirements are fine and that was verified each of the 4 times that I called EA
I of course tried uninstalling, reinstalling, and buying a new cd in case mine was bad.
Can anyone help?
Becca
