Several Sims 3 In-game issues Empty Several Sims 3 In-game issues

Post by Guest Tue 29 Jan 2013, 16:14

Hi! Not long ago, I installed Sims 3 up to the town life stuff patch from this site. I followed the instructions, didn't have any problems with the installation (i did have to update manually, but the game worked after that). Now, there's a couple of things that are not working correctly in-game. I haven't really made a list, so I'm gonna post the ones that come up to mind and if I remember any more I'll just edit later:
1- My sims can't have a second kid. I was able to adopt a second one but they just won't have one naturally. It was all good with the first one and the option is still there, just nothing happens after they do their business.
2- I have my sims' bags full of omniplants that I can't plant, move or use for anything else (no options when I click on them), even though 2 of my sims have gardening on full lvl.
3- When I invite another sim over, they won't leave when told to. They just stick around till they're too sleepy.
Sorry if there was already a post for any of these issues, I looked but I couldn't find any.
Thanks Smile

Several Sims 3 In-game issues Empty Re: Several Sims 3 In-game issues

Alright..

1)Theoretically it's possible that after Several Sims 3 In-game issues 4049071320, 'nothing' happens; i.e. your female sim doesn't get pregnant. Maybe this can even happen if you try several times in a row. I think you should just try until it works Laughing.

2) That's a glitch, which can be corrected with NRAAS mods like the Debug enabler and Overwatch. If you don't know how to install mods, look here: http://www.mediafire.com/?8hvd25izaiea4 and then read the "how to install package files". Just make sure you download the correct versions of these mods; that is look at the patch level of your Sims 3 base game (in the launcher), then download the right mods - btw. many NRAAS mods support earlier patch versions too.
When you're done (and everything hopefully works) then click on the omniplant, then Nraas --> Debug Enabler --> Delete. And if you've installed Overwatch, it should take care of that problem automatically after that (see my post at the end of this thread:
https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t9351-sims-3-bills-and-omniplant-gift-boxes-stuck-in-inventory ) //EDIT: Sorry, wrong link at first.

3) I'm not sure about that one, maybe that's a glitch ? But you could delete the guests: Press Ctrl+Shift+C to open the cheat console. Then type testingcheatsenabled true. After that, hold Shift and click on the guest - then there should be the option of Object --> Delete...and the guest is teleported to his home .

Hope I could help you out a bit Very Happy

Thanks!! I'm gonna try the solution you posted and I'll let you know if it works.

The kids thing, I don't really think it's normal... I mean, I know there's a chance that they won't get pregnant but I'm a very persistent kind of person so they've been going at it like rabbits and really nothing's happening.

If you do end up using Master Controller, there's an option called "pollinate" which is basically "make my sim pregnant!" So there's always that option there.

And short of deleting the guests and possibly causing issues with them being stuck somewhere, you can type "reset sim firstname lastname" into the cheat console, and it resets them to a safe and routable location on their home lot.
