so, before i downloaded any of these games, i had base, ambitions and late night installed - i uninstalled them before i installed any of these, but when i try to install late night now, i get the error message "The setup has detected that version 6.5.01 of The Sims 3 Late Night is already installed. This setup installs an earlier version of The Sims 3 Late Night (6.0.81). You will have to uninstall the previous version before installing this version."

i... have no idea where the information for late night is coming from. does anyone have an idea where i could look to find it? i'm running windows 7 64bit; i have base, generations, town life stuff, pets, seasons, and supernatural installed, if those might matter. i entered "late night" into my search bar in the start menu but nothing comes up other than the download from yesterday.

Hello,

Try Your Uninstaller! Pro from www.games4theworld.org to see if you have any other Late Night installations on your system.

Also, did you ever download a "complete" The Sims download?

the uninstaller worked!

however, now i have another question - i followed the instructions in the late night guide and uninstalled everything, so do i just go through the must read sticky topic again and redo all of that (i.e. ultimate fix)?

There was no need to uninstall. But yes, now the entire guide should be followed again.
