Help with installing sims3 expansions on MacBook Pro

I've tried everything i could think of, plus followed all of the installation guides i have found on this website-- so far nothing works and have run into tons of different error messages.

I have the base game already installed and working (bought it), is there a way i can install the expansions without having to download/use parallel?

Also, for other people to be able to help, please provide as much information as you can. (For example: what do the error messages say? When do they pop up?)
