UL retail purchase question. [SOLVED]

Hi all! So I have a mish mash or retail and g4tw sims games installed on my PC. I'm up to 1.5 and working fine. My question is this, I pre-ordered the digital version of University Life. Will this just install like other packs and I won't have to worry about updating or waiting for the crack files to be updated, or should I hold off until the ultimate fix is updated before installing (I have the Sims 5 coming as well, so it's not like I mind a bit of a wait 
)
