Sims 3 university camera issue?

When i try to take a picture with the new "smartphones" that came with the university expansion, the pictures don't save. the camera screen comes up fine everything looks good until i capture and then go to look for the picture and there is none! i click on the phone then on camera->photos->view photos and there's nothing in there. but if i click on camera->photos->sell photos it asks me if im sure i want to sell 1 photo. not sure what's going on.
