mod installed but no mod folder....[SOLVED]

Please help! It's been a while since i played sims and when the new university came out i really wanted to start again because it was my favorite sims 2 game. when I load my game it says that i have mod file installed but i don't have a mod folder...this is what i am doing...
1. I go to my progam files.
2. Select Electronic Arts
3. Select Sims 3
4. Select Game
5. Select Game Bin
Am i looking in the wrong place for this mod file folder? I think i got the mod from modthesims if that helps. Please someone help me! I know i'm such a

Hi!
The mod folder should be in your documents folder C:\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods
Try looking there.
