Step 2 of How to Install the Sims 3 properly

I have just read your "How to install the Sims 3 Correctly" page and I was experiencing issues myself I wanted to follow this guide however I found on step 2 of the link (I am a Mac user) I clicked on the link for the downlod and then clicked on the downlod yet it didn't really do anything. When I saved it and subsequently clicked on the icon in my files it just produced another similar file and when I clicked on that it produced another file exactly the same as the second one produced. I am not sure if this is a problem with my Mac or something I have yet to download however it would be nice to have some help.
