Game freezes completely after few mn but the sound still plays

Hello, it seems like my game looove to find new ways to make me crazy. It stopped producing the "Unknown error" bug but now I have a problem within the game itself.

I downloaded quite a few of store CC on the Mediafire account of this site, and installed the towns I was lacking, particularly Lucky Palms and its CC. I put all the fixes as required in the Packages folder, and all was good for a while, it was almost heaven .
I started a game in Lucky Palms, with only one sim.

But suddenly, my game began to freeze few minutes after I open it ! Everything is stuck, my sim and cars etc, but I can still hear ambient sounds (water running etc). One time I could still see the trees and water move even though everything else was stuck. I'm then forced to hard-quit the game

At first I though it was some new CC and mods I downloaded that was the cause, but I checked with Dashboard and removed the most recent CC I installed, with no result...

Do anyone has an idea why the game does this and how can I solve this problem ?


P.S If (maybe) some of my sentences are messed up I apologize because english is not my mother's tongue, and I have a difficult time trying to explain technical issues in this language...

when I downloaded and installed lucky palms casino - it **** up my entire game, twice! (downloaded from g4tw mediafire acct) had to uninstall everything - hope you have better luck

Thank you both for your answers, I will look into those possible solutions, although it seems (for the Lucky Palms matter) like I have trouble with uninstalling CC from the launcher :/

So I tested what you suggested (following all the steps) and I managed to play for several hours with my new household. I had two "error 12" appearing when saving, when that happened I tried saving again and it seems to work for some time... until it didn't. No matter how many times I tried to save afterwards the error kept showing so I hard-quit the game.
I heard it's a common error but I never had this error before even when I got the persistent "Exception raised" error.

Today I tried to launch the game: in the panel where you choose a save, the one I played yesterday wasn't there, so I closed the game and went to my Saves folder in the EA/The Sims 3 folder and I found two saves : one backup folder from the day before yesterday, and one folder from yesterday (when it crashed) but labelled ".sims3.bad".
I attempted to rename it to ".sims3" and relaunched the game. The save game was there, although the house wasn't showing in the panel (the household did). I launched it but then I got an "Exception raised" type of error...

That's all :/ Do you have any idea to "rescue" my save ?
