Getting more sims 3 expansions..

My friend has a few sims 3 original games (he bought), and he wants more expansions, is there a problem if he downloads more exansions from here to play??

Yes, his game will run like crap. That's assuming he manages to install them correctly, most people fail at that and then blame EA...
But that's just the problem with expansions in general. Mixing legal and pirated expansions should work but I have no idea whether you'll be able to use the online features, if you care about that sort of thing.

As long as their games aren't installed through Steam, there's no issue with them getting games from here to add on. I actually have about a 50/50 setup, with my own games installed through Origin, and the rest from here.

Yes, you can use all features, as long as you install everything following these up-to-date instructions: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t1171-must-read-how-to-install-the-sims-3-correctly
But do note that you can online use the (extra?) online features as long as you own at least one original/retail game copy. (Which you have to register and link to your The Sims 3 account)

I had a similar question...I have already DLed the Sims 3, and the expansion packs: Supernatural, Seasons (all from this site)...and then I also installed my own games, Pets and Ambitions. I then installed the ultimate fix and updated like I was supposed to and everything works fine. The other day I Downloaded Generations and am currently downloading the rest of the games. But I was just wondering if I would have to reapply the ultimate fix for all the expansion packs I downloaded to work properly? And if I do need to reapply the ultimate fix should I just go to the sims 3 base file and delete the files I used from the ultimate fix? thanks in advance.

Okay, I will do that. Do I just need to delete the files from the base game folder, and then just follow the ultimate fix directions?

Hello,
You don't have to 'delete' anything; if you copy the files from the Ultimate fix to their right places you just select "replace all" - and the files from the Ultimate fix will overwrite the ones which are in the game folders.
And again: never use the cracks that are included in the Sims 3 games - ONLY use the files from the Ultimate fix.
