My game is a mess after patch update?

I downloaded the new expansion pack, Island Paradise, and this morning I installed it but it said it cannot update The Sims 3. I searched on this site and found the manual patch 1.55 (I think, I'm not sure the exact number lol). When I download it, it doesn't even start downloading? Anyways, I got the pop up on the game launcher saying there is a new update with the same number, I click on it and it starts the Origin and it had 254MB to download.

After it finished, it said that it was interrupted? I re-did the whole thing but it said the same thing that it was interrupted and it's still the same. I launch the game and start it, my Sims are invisible and it crashed 5 minutes after opening the game.

Any help guys? What should I do?

Okay.
The manual patch said it was interrupted, I tried installing IP but it still said The Sims 3 need to be updated?

Any error codes or anything?

I was just reading in the launcher and it said I have to delete store content to update the game? Was this the problem? I didn't delete my store content before downloading the new patch. Sorry if I don't make sense.
