Sims 3 Lag/jumpy

Sims 3 Lag/jumpy

ive got all expansions installed as well as the store updates. since installing island paradise im getting lag. ive tried deleting the cache package files but no luck. any ideas?

knowing what i know about computers and programing, i know none of that will work. any other suggestions?

It could just be Island Paradise, see if any of this helps. If it doesn't, it may require an EA patch and we can't fix it right now.

Hey ElDi,
fraps never goes under 40fps at 1080p on highest settings. CPU load stays under 20%. CPU and Radeon temps are both good. Only 3 in game sims. its the island map not custom(will test others). imo needless to say, ram doesnt even get near half (1600mhz btw).
IMO its a problem with the expansion or the crack.
BTW:
many times when you go to do something and you move the cursor over it, it doesn't change how it should (ex. Dog selected mousing over dog bowl). You must rotate or something to get it to work properly.
Again I didn't have any of these problems before the latest expansion and fix.

Not sure if my lags were similar to your's, but what I did was installing 2 mods called:
Overwatch Mod
MasterController
Go to youtube and type in:
How to stop The Sims3 freezing/lagging
Choose the second video
This usually helps from lagging, and jumping freezing etc.
What the problem might is that there's a stuck sim (townie) somewhere, either trying to path, or trying to do something that's causing it to pulse.
Overwatch mod helps to reset all stuck sims from the neighbourhood, also it deletes cars, which usually cause Sims to stuck.
Not sure if this might be the problem of yours, but you can always try.
