Sims 3 problems...HELP!!!

Hi,

I keep getting different problems with my Sims 3, one minute it decides that it doesn't want to save so it gives me some error message, then other times it just quits it's self, or at times it just freezes so I have to force quit it!

I have been having these problems for a while, but I have never got round to doing anything about it but now it's really annoying because when I want to play it always quits or something, anybody got any ideas?

I tried the ultimate fix again and it still didn't prevent it from quitting on me...any other suggestions, should I reinstall it? Just to let you know I'm on an iMac by the way.

Do you use mods? If yes, then delete them all and download the updated ones and add them to the game. If you don't have mods (nevermind then).

Or:

Rename the folder ''The Sims 3'' in Users/Name/Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3 to anything else (its like a backup for everything you have in this folder) then run the game and see if it goes better.

And for the error while saving, you can try this mod: ErrorTrap

I have just tried the methods above that where suggested and it still crashes on me at times throughout the game and I got an error code at saving again, any more ideas?
